Air Displacement
The unique solution to your ventilation needs! Air Stratified Water IllustrationDisplacement works with natural principles to provide a reduction of ventilation air while increasing air quality. Like the clean water on the bottom of the illustration, breathing air is kept clean while hot, dirty air is displaced to the ceiling where it is exhausted. Conventional systems, like the water below, mix dirt and fresh air creating an unhealthy environment. Conventional Dilution MixedWater IllustrationAir Systems cannot compete with the air quality Air Displacement systems because conventional systems try to clean air by mixing it. Yet, just as warm, dirty, water cannot become clean mixing by mixing it with cool, clean water, so dirty breathing air cannot be cleaned by mixing in fresh air. Air Displacement eliminates this problem by using the difference in air densities to thermally seperate the hot dirty air and the cool, clean air.

Additional Information: BRIEF OVERVIEW or DETAILED OVERVIEW of the system.

Since the air being placed on the ground by the Air Displacement system is several degrees cooler than the existing air, it is denser and stays on the ground. The warm, humid air, which contains the dirt, is displaced to the ceiling because it is lighter, or at a lower density. Warm air, dirty air is generated by a whole range of things, including people and the machinery they use. The thermal stratification is similar to placing oil and water in a glass. They do not mix because they are different densities. What the process means is clean, fresh air stays where people want to breathe while dirty air is exhausted at the ceiling.
Ventilation air comes through a large duct near the ground at extremely low velocity.

Advantages:

Reasons to Utilize Air Displacement:
  • Outdoor Ventilation Air means Harmful Gases and Particulates are Elimated from the Breathing Space
  • Air is Thermally Stratified from Floor to Ceiling so Cool Clean Air is where People Need to Breath it and Hot, Dirty Air is at the Ceiling being Exhausted
  • No Drafts
  • Extremely Clean Occupied Air Zone
  • Dirty Air remains Near the Ceiling
  • Less Ventilation Air is Required to Maintain a High Air Quality which Means Less Equipment is Necessary to do the Job
  • Lower Equipment Requirements mean Lower Start Up Costs and Greatly Reduced Running Costs
  •
  • High Number of People in a Space
  • Ceilings which are 8 feet or Higher
  • Facilities Requiring Large Quantities of Ventilation Air
  • Contaminated Environments
  • A Need to Save Fuel or Energy
  •
